Senior Food Technologist – Gels, Liquids & Food Development

About the Role
SachetsCo is seeking a hands-on Senior Food Technologist to develop gels, liquids and wet-food products, while also working across other foods and powder blends. This part-time role is based on-site in Frenchs Forest, Sydney and combines formulation, bench mixing, pilot trials and practical production scale-up.
What You Will Do
- Develop and refine gel, liquid and wet-food formulations, alongside other food products and powder blends.
- Balance taste, texture, stability and cost against the product brief.
- Prepare and run hands-on bench mixes and pilot batches, and support scale-up to production.
- Work directly with mixing, processing and filling equipment to identify and troubleshoot process, fill and seal issues.
- Coordinate quality, stability and shelf-life work with the appropriate QA and specialist support.
- Maintain controlled formulas, specifications, costings, trial results and batch records for clear production handover.
Relevant Experience
- Commercial formulation and development experience with gels, liquids or wet-food products.
- Practical experience using equipment for bench trials, pilot batches and production scale-up.
- Ability to work hands-on across other food formats and powder blends.
- Food science or food technology qualifications, or equivalent relevant experience.
Employment and Work Rights
This is a part-time, on-site role. Pay is negotiable based on experience.
